GHANAIAN NATIONALS ASSOCIATION OF VICENZA (GHANAVI) - APS-ETS

Welcome to GhanaVi!

The Ghanaian Nationals Association of Vicenza (GhanaVi) is a vibrant and united community of Ghanaians living in Vicenza, Italy. Founded with the mission to connect, support, and empower Ghanaians abroad, GhanaVi serves as a hub for cultural, social, and economic engagement among its members.

As a non-profit organization, our goal is to promote the well-being of Ghanaians in the Vicenza region, offering guidance and resources in areas such as education, health, and employment. We strive to build a sense of belonging and pride, while maintaining our rich Ghanaian heritage.

Our Mission

GhanaVi is committed to:

- Fostering unity and collaboration among Ghanaians living in Vicenza and beyond.

- Providing support and resources to help members navigate life in Italy.

- Promoting Ghanaian culture and values within our community and with the wider Italian society.

- Offering opportunities for personal and professional development.

Our Leadership

GhanaVi is led by a passionate group of individuals, including our co-founder and President, Mr. Kofi Omari Somuah, who also leads the initiative at NewsAndAid, an approach dedicated to providing critical news and resources for communities in need. Under Presidents Somuah's leadership, GhanaVi has become a beacon of support for the Ghanaian diaspora in Vicenza, creating lasting connections and opportunities for growth.

Collaboration with the Ghanaian Embassy in Rome

We are proud to work closely with the Ghanaian Embassy in Rome. This partnership strengthens our ability to provide essential services to our members, including assistance with legal and consular matters. Through our collaboration, we ensure that the voices of Ghanaians in Vicenza are heard and that our community has access to the support it needs for matters such as passport renewals, documentation, and other embassy-related services. Together, we strive to address the unique challenges faced by Ghanaians abroad, helping to bridge the gap between our home country and life in Italy.

What We Do

- Cultural Celebrations: We organize events to celebrate Ghanaian culture, including festivals, key national holidays, and community gatherings.

- Support Programs: Our association provides guidance in areas like legal advice, employment opportunities, and educational resources for members and their families.

- Networking & Development: GhanaVi is a platform for Ghanaians to connect, share experiences, and explore professional and business opportunities.

- Collaborations: In addition to our partnership with the Ghanaian Embassy in Rome, we work with local Italian organizations, charities, and authorities to foster integration and mutual understanding between our communities.
